How much Important is it for You
In almost all areas, of a person’s Excellence in Life, Health, Wellness and Fitness play an important role towards developments and progress. Yet for an absolutely a large number of people it is a neglected aspect in their lives. May be, because of their ignorance to the subject, or whatever the reasons may be, these particular people doesn’t have a prime Lifestyle in regards to Health, Wellness and Fitness.
The resultant factor being that in their prime productive years of life, they under-perform, and in their post productive years, they are greatly degenerative in almost all areas of their lives. We can help all those people out to a very large extent in overcoming such Situations and Limitations. And help you keep marching along with your dreams, having excellent performances, and with a great boost of energy all throughout your life.
It is said by WHO “Wellness is more than being free from illness, it is a state of a person having complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of Illness, Diseases or Physical Infirmity.
It is also said by “National Wellness Institute” that it is a person’s Conscious, Self-directed and Evolving Process of Achieving his Full Potential.”
Currently I am doing a “Digital Deepak Internship Program” under guidance of Deepak Kanakaraju also known as Digital Deepak .
Wellness in general could have eight aspects/dimensions in a person’s life:-
- Physical, 2. Intellectual, 3. Occupational, 4. Financial, 5. Social, 6. Emotional, 7. Environmental, 8. Spiritual
1. Physical Wellness
Overall physical wellness is inter-related to the balance of physical activity, nutrition and mental well-being to keep your body in prime condition. Being physically active is very crucial in a person’s life for maintaining our bodies in prime Health. Optimal level of physical wellness allows you to nurture your personal responsibility for your own health. Physical Wellness enables us to take care of our bodies through physical activities, the necessary nutrition, and a resourceful mind.
Understanding the relationship with our body’s Physical and Mental Health is crucial in order to develop a balanced physical wellness. Physical wellness boosts our principles to take good care of our health and acquire knowledge, which will result in our behavioral patterns that leads to a healthy lifestyle. Engage in a physical activity on daily basis for at least 30 minutes. Mostly try having variety of vegan foods of different colors. Maintain a regular sleeping pattern of at least 7hrs to 8hrs.
2. Intellectual Wellness
Remember having Intellectual wellness is always a treasure in life, as it drives us in transforming our lives into different spheres.
Intellectual wellness involves a person in having an open mind when and encounter new ideas, enabling to expand ones knowledge. It also encourages to actively participating in cultural and social activities, thereby boosting ones morale. Intellectual wellness can be developed through multimedia, cultural activities, socializing and personal hobbies. As and the way intellectual wellness develops, you are able to develop personal resources that work together with the other realms of Wellness and Health in order to achieve a more balanced life. It is of vital importance to frequently explore new ideas and understandings, in order to become more fruitful and to be in tune with the times. Having an optimal level of intellectual wellness inspires exploration and also stimulates curiosity.Curiosity is an essence of life because it motivates you to try new things and develop an understanding of the trends in general the world over. Be always an open-minded to grasp the maximum knowledge that could benefit you and the others.
3. Occupational Wellness
Occupational wellness inspires us to prepare for Work, Profession, Business, or Job, in which we get personal gratification, satisfaction and find enrichment in our lives. Occupational wellness allows you to explore various possible career options and encourages you to pursue the opportunities you enjoy the most physically and mentally. When having an occupational satisfaction, this will allow you to transact your values by involving in related occupational activities that would be gratifying for you. Working for financial gains or otherwise, it takes up a majority of your lifetime, so the way you deal with your work, it contributes to your overall Wellness. Having occupational wellness allows you to build the skills and talents that could be both personally and professionally rewarding.
4. Financial Freedom/Wellness
Every individual is a different person from the other, so also their financial resources and expenses. So everyone’s financial situation and needs are different. Hence it is you who have to do your financial management that would work best for you be suited for you according to your needs. The important point is that managing Financial Wellness and obtaining a Financial Freedom is a process and a habit that has to be developed over a period of time and does not occur immediately. Keep yourself informed of the resources and the money managing strategies to build up your Financial Wellness and Freedom. Balance all your other areas in life, they could be well related in having financial freedom and wellness. Inadequate managed finances could also stress your life taking a toll on your health.
5. Social Wellness
Social wellness is attained when we socialize with likeminded people, and refers to the cordial relationships we have and how we interact with others. Our relationships should always be healthy and supportive during difficult times with all that we associated with. Surrounding yourself with likeminded and positive thinking people will increase your self-esteem. Increasing your social wellness enables you to break boundaries that encourage good communication, Whatever best that you enjoy in socializing, nurture that to enjoy your social life, and that will give you Social Wellness Be always in touch with all the positive thinking and with supportive friends and family.
6. Emotional Wellness
In some way or the other we are intimately connected to our inner self, and a lot of times when we get stressed and our life becomes a big mess. Emotional wellness relates to understanding your feelings within, and coping effectively with stress. Else the stress affects your health which eventually affect wellness making it out of balance. An important advise is that, always be cooperative understanding and considerate to your family members and your closed ones, that will help you in managing your stress if at all if it happens from other sources, This will always keep emotional wellness in check.
7. Environmental Wellness
Environmental wellness could be said is at the best when we respect all human beings, the animals, plant life and all the other species of life, that contributes in having the ecological balance on earth. The core principle of environmental wellness is respect to all nature and all species living in it. Environmental wellness inspires us to live a lifestyle that is respectful of our surroundings. This realm encourages us to live in harmony with the Earth by taking action to protect it. Environmental well-being promotes interaction with nature and your personal environment around you.
8. Spiritual Wellness
Spiritual wellness is understood and attained by those who understands the meaning and purpose of his or her existence on earth. This will make you understand that you are unique from others and achieve thos things that you are designed for. Spiritual wellness allows you to develop a set of values that help you seek meaning and purpose. The moment you find meaning in your life experiences, you will be able to build a harmony with your inner self and the world outside. Spiritual wellness strongly emphasizes the importance of building inner resources and the inner thoughts in order to give meaning to life externally. But being spiritually well means knowing which resources to use to cope with issues that come up in everyday life.
HEALTH …..prime for all in Life
As people age, their health needs tend to become more complex with a general trend towards declining capacity and the increased likelihood of having one or more chronic diseases. so that they can ensure affordable access to evidence-based medical interventions that respond to the needs of older people and can help prevent the anticipated diseases.
At the biological level, ageing results from the impact of the accumulation of a wide variety of molecular and cellular damage over time. This leads to a gradual decrease in physical and mental capacity, a growing risk of disease, and ultimately, death.
Beyond biological changes, ageing is also associated with other life transitions such as retirement, relocation to more appropriate housing,
Common conditions in older age include hearing loss, cataracts and refractive errors, back and neck pain and osteoarthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, depression, and dementia. Furthermore, as people age, they are more likely to experience several conditions at the same time.
Although some of the variations in older people’s health are genetic, much is due to people’s physical and social environments – including their homes, neighbourhoods, and communities, as well as their personal characteristics
